Model & product support
Pick the system you have. Each line starts and behaves differently, so the right notes save a phone call — and tell us which one you have when you contact us.
Choose your system
GP standard
General-purpose rotary converter for shop machines you start by hand.
Typically used for
- Lathes, mills, saws, grinders and other manually started machines
- Shops where someone is present to start the converter before running work
Notes for this system
- Start the converter first, let it come up to speed, then start your machines.
- Start the largest motor first when several machines run at once.
- Leave the converter running through the work session rather than cycling it repeatedly.
Self-cycling loads need auto-start
Air compressors, HVAC, refrigeration, pumps and anything on a thermostat, timer or pressure switch must be run on an AutoLink-equipped system. A bare NL or PL panel is built for manual start and expects a person at the controls. If you are unsure which you have, call 800-417-6568 before running the load — confirming takes a minute and prevents damage.
Where to find your model and serial
Control panel nameplate
A metal or foil label on the side or inside face of the enclosure door, carrying the model designation, horsepower rating, input voltage and serial number.
Idler motor nameplate
Stamped plate on the motor frame with horsepower, full load amps, RPM, frame size and voltage. Photograph it — the FLA number matters for sizing questions.
Order paperwork
Your packing list and invoice list the model built for you. The order number also lets us pull the build record directly.
Inside the enclosure
Many panels have a build card or test sheet with the tested date and technician initials. Power down and lock out before opening.
